Around the Office...

As we head into a new month, it’s good to take the time to look around the Create International Perth office and see what’s been going
on, with media projects both old and new.
We start with Jenni, who is working on a Video People Profile for the
Punjabi Sikhs. This is a
mobilisation presentation that will share about the needs of a very unreached
people group in Northern India in an inspiring and informative way. The heart is to call people to pray for
and reach out to the Sikhs – in India, and for many of us, right next door in
our own communities.
Jenni’s not alone on that project. Simon, our newest team member, is
working on the music to go with the visuals, while Richard is tackling the
graphic effects. It’s a particular
treat to see Richard at work, as he is also sharing the care of his three-month
old son. He can often be found
editing with his tiny baby sleeping in his arms or on his shoulder.
Working a couple of desks over, there is John who has just returned to
our office after months away on outreach and holidays. John is carrying
a daunting task that he handles with grace and cheer - going through
our massive catalog of photographs of the unreached and editing and
organizing them. Literally thousands of photos have been taken over the
history of Create, until recent years on slide film. John's been
examining them, picking out the best ones, and touching them up to make
them the most excellent and usable resources they can best and usable resources they can be.
I asked Nathan about his work on these paintings and
he said, “When we started, we didn’t know how long this project was going to
take – I didn’t think it was going to be this long – but I really believe in
this project and I do have faith that it has the potential to reach many people
in the Middle East. My hope is
that if anything, a Muslim watching this series of videos would come to an
understanding of why we believe Christ died for our sins. If they are going to accept it and look
into it, that’s there decision, but the hope is that they would have a new
understanding of what the Bible is saying and the big picture of who Christ is
and what he has done.”
Expect to hear more about it as our Create Thailand centre continues the editing on these videos.
While all this is happening, we're trusting and preparing for new projects in the future. In particular, God has put nations such as Indonesia, Nepal and China on our heart, and we are believing him for the doors to open to produce resources that will impact these and other nations in need of the gospel.
Keep watching this space for further updates!
