Now, you can utilize the power of sight and sound, breaking through communication barriers, to bring the vital messages of the Gospel and Frontier Missions to audiences around the world. In the School of Frontier Media (SFM), learn how to communicate the gospel in culturally relevant ways. Gain skills in audio/visual communications which can be directly applied to Frontier Mission work. Lectures and workshops will be conducted by cross-cultural specialists and media professionals currently working in their field of expertise.
Topics include:
Visual symbols
Cross-cultural communication
Field photography and videography
Lighting
Editing
Audio/Video scriptwriting
Computer graphics
Culture learning
... and more
The "Media Safari" outreach, immediately following the lecture phase, will challenge students to apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills to a field-project within a specific unreached people group. Concluding the field assignment, students will then return to Perth, Australia to assemble both a mobilization and an evangelistic presentation for their target people group, experiencing all aspects of post-production.
