Utilize the power of sight and sound to challenge audiences with the gospel message! The School of Frontier Media (SFM) is an intensive, six month training program designed to grow your media skills, increase your heart for the unreached, and to show you how to use your passion for film making, photography, documentary story telling and more for the Kingdom of God.
SFM students spend 12 weeks in lectures and hands-on workshops, developing skills in video production, directing, photography, web design and more. At the same time, they learn principles of cross-cultural communication and culture research that will be key for making media productions relevant and effective. And all throughout it, they will be grow in their foundations with God through times of prayer, worship, evangelism, teaching, and studying the Word of God.
The rest of the school is spent on a Media Safari outreach! This time will challenge students to apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills to a media projects for evangelism and mobilization amongst the unreached. Time is spent both on the field in production and back in Perth doing editing and post-production.
Many graduates of the School of Frontier Media go on to work with Create International, while many others put their media skills to use in other areas of church or mission, both in and out of Youth With A Mission.
